Nike Air Max 270 Futura

The Air Max 270 Futura is an interesting hybrid sneaker that combines a brand new Max Air unit, the tallest Nike has ever made, and a retro-inspired upper.

While this new-old hybrid look may not be for everyone, the Air Max 270 Futura is reminiscent of the old Air Max Burst and other large-volume Air Max sneakers. The shoe offers a high ride (wearers will sit on top of that huge Air unit), but it should be adequately cushioned with flex grooves for good transition.

The upper is a mix of several different materials including mesh, textiles, and synthetic leather. Nike says it has a “retro racing design” but fans of this shoe may enjoy the very ’80s Swooshes used here. The traditional lacing system is secured by the overlays at the eyestay.

Early this year, Nike introduced the Air Max 270 cole unit into their arsenal. Since then, the signature 270 model can be found everywhere, from high-end boutiques to outlets. Now, Nike has come up with the 270 Futura, a new silhouette coming this Fall.

The Nike Air Max 270 Futura Men's Shoe combines the exaggerated tongue from the Air Max 180 and classic elements from the Air Max 93. It features Nike's biggest heel Air unit yet for a supersoft ride that feels as impossible as it looks.
